Mobile Electric Energy Generator Based on Nanofluidics (2015)

Poster @ 2015 C3E Women in Clean Energy Symposium, Boston, MA

Need for emergency electricity or electricity produced at home by facile means gained great significance after a disaster like Hurricane Sandy. We have modeled a new nanofluidic system to make home standby generator! Also this technique can be used to develop high-functional and effective sensors to improve chemical treatment in industriesand provide continuous monitoring of pollutants to control the environmental pollution.

Aerodynamic Car Body Design (2012)

Global Capstone Projects, Shanghai Jiao Tong University– Penn State University
    Supervised by Prof. Tong Wang and Prof. Chris Rahn, Mechanical Engineering Department

  • Shell Eco-marathon Urban Concept Aerodynamic and Aesthetic Body Design
  • Designed and fabricated the car body esthetically for Penn State Eco-Marathon team by SolidWorks
  • Simulated the aerodynamic performance by ICEM and FLUENT; optimized the body for lower drag

This work was drafted as undergraduate thesis.

Mechanical Design of Smart Cars (2011)

Smart Car Team, Shanghai Jiao Tong University  
     Supervised by Prof. Ming Yang, Institute of Electrical Engineering and Automation

  • Designed and 3D modeled components for smart cars based on UG and SolidWorks
  • Manufactured aluminum alloy components with lathe, drill, grinder and miller in workshops
  • Tested mechanical characteristic of smart cars
  • Designed the route of smart cars to achieve a certain movement based on SCM
  • 1st prize in the 6th Freescale Cup National University Students Smart Car Competition, (Awarded for top 10%)

Novel Solar Air Conditioning Clothing (2010)

Project Leader, National Undergraduate Innovation Program, Robotics Institute, SJTU                                                                      

  • Designed the control system of solar air-conditioner clothes based on Atmel® atmega168
  • Designed and 3D modeled the system esthetically and functionally based on SolidWorks and KeyShot; Improved assembling details; 
  • 3D printed the prototype, measured the effect of the product and brought it to market
